Laura (she/her) is a researcher passionate about Sex- and Gender-Based Analysis Plus (SGBA+)  and gender equity. In 2024, she received her PhD from the University of Toronto in Psychology and is currently completing a post-doc with Dr. Liisa Galea at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH). Broadly, her research strives to identify sex- and gender-specific risk factors for dementia and psychiatric disorders.

Through her industry and academic work, she has gained valuable experience interacting with patient populations and healthcare providers, collaborating with international research teams, communicating research findings to both academic and non-academic audiences, and collecting and analyzing various types of data.

Laura believes that data-driven approaches are key to making informed decisions that help foster equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility. She is excited to be part of the TRIDENT team.

Feedback

"I appreciate the increased focus on HQP engagement in TRIDENT- having HQP personnel sharing their work and contributions at the 2024 Annual General Meeting was nice to see, as they represent a significant portion of needed to make TRIDENT's goals possible.”
